Classic Server | Mining Leveling Guide

This guide is all about Mining in World of Warcraft Classic.

General Information

Mining is one of three Gathering Professions in World of Warcraft.
To mine ores you need a Spitzhacke. You don’t have to equip it, its enough to keep it in your inventory.
Gathering professions do not use raw materials, they gather them – so they do not cost gold to level but get you gold if you sell your materials.
Raw materials like ores are used to create bars and needed by Blacksmiths and Engineers.
Along with Mining you also learn Smelting and Mineral Tracking.
Recommended profession that go well with Mining are Blacksmithing and Engineering.

Requirements

The Mining Profession
A Spitzhacke
Optional, but recommended: A pair of hands with a +5 Mining Enchantment
Engineers only: There is a helmet that grants +5 Mining

Ore Veins only spawn right besides hills, cliffs and mountains. You won’t find Ores on flat land if theres not a small hill on it.
If you are a Night Elf, it is recommended to get to Darkshore as soon as possible.

Every Ore/Vein has own skill requirements that are listed below. The color code is as follows:

Leveling Classic-Mining: 1-300

1 – 65	Kupfer Veins you need to mine: 30 Farm 50 Copper Ore and smelt them. Visit your trainer after you reached Skill 50 to learn the next rank! 66 – 125	Zinn, Silber, Pyrophor and Geringe Blutsteine Veins you need to mine: 60 It starts to get a little less easy here because of the veins being more spreaded. On top of that, you won’t get skill points with smelting above Skill 85. Silver Bars is the last thing you can smelt. After Skill 100, Tin Ore is green and skill points will come in less. Silver stays yellow until 125. Wetlands Leveling Mining is easiest in the Wetlands near Dun Algaz (Koordinates 53,64). Theres a cave full of spiders and one quest that wants you to mine Incendicite. This quest is only for Alliance players, but Horde players can mine these veins aswell. The Ore itself is useless (if not for one quest), but if you are the only one at this spot, you need less than an hour to reach Skill 125. Arathi Highlands In the East of Hammerfall (Koordinates: 80,40) is a cave. Mining there is similar to the spot in the Wetlands. Barrens This Route starts at Crossroads, head to the west and then as shown below in a circle. Thousand Needles Start in the North at the Great Lift and head west and as shown on the picture, do circles. Don’t forget to go into every cave since they are full of ores! Alternative but less efficient spots: Hillsbrad Foothills: Not really a route, just go in circles. Ashenvale: Not really a route, just go in circles. Wetlands: Start in Dun Modr and farm along the cliff sides. Redridge Mountains: Start in the zones city and farm up into north to Renders Camp. Head back to South (Althers Mill) and then to the Tower of Ilgalar, then back to Lakeshire. Visit your trainer after you reached Skill 125 to learn the next rank!
125 – 175	Eisen und Gold Veins you need to mine: 100 At this point, Horde and Alliance players can take the same routes. Thousand Needles This route is basically the same as above. But now, it is recommended to also farm into Shimmering Flats (the white area on the map). Desolace Badlands Alternative but less efficient spots: Ashenvale Arathi Highlands Alterac Mountain Stranglethorn Vale Swamp of Sorrows (do not skip the caves!)
175 – 250	Mithril und Echtsilber Veins you need to mine: 125 Mithril is really profitable, Engineers and Blacksmiths need it A LOT. Visit your trainer after you reached Skill 200 to learn the next rank! Searing Gorge Just run or ride in circles. If you want to, you can go down into the valley and with some luck, find some Dark Iron Ore (which needs Skill 230). Azshara Tanaris This route is a little longer, but can be very profitable. Alternative but less efficient spots: Winterspring: Just farm alongside the mountains. Desolace: With Unterwasseratmung you can farm here around the Ranzajar Island. Chances to meet other players there is really low. Blasted Lands: Just farm in circles! Hinterlands: Start at Aeria Peak and farm alongside the cliffs in the south. Head back if you reach Jintha’Alor! Western Plaguelands: Farm in circles around Ruins of Andorhal.
250 – 300	Thorium Veins you need to mine: 160 Thorium is the main reason to learn Mining. The ore itself sells very well and you have a chance to find Arkankristall, which are usually really expensive. Un’goro Crater The route is simple: Run or ride in circles around the zone and sometimes head to the big mountain in the middle of Un’Goro. If there are too many people farming, just take one of the other zones below. Burning Steppes The route is again very simple. You can also find Dark Iron Ore here. Western Plaguelands This route is also really easy. Eastern Plaguelands This route is also really easy. Alternativ, but less efficient zones: Azshara Winterspring: Start in Everlook and head south to find the Yetis and their caves!

This guide is all about Herbalism in World of Warcraft Classic.

General Information

Herbalism is one of three Gathering Professions in World of Warcraft.
You only need your hands to gather herbs.
This profession does not craft anything, it only gets you materials so it does not cost Gold.
The herbs are used by alchemists to craft elixirs and flasks.

Leveling Classic-Herbalism: 1-300

1 – 50	Friedensblume and Silberblatt 1 25 50 100 Orcs/Trolls – Durotar: Circle around Razor Hill to Sen’jin Tauren – Mulgore: Circle around Bloodhoof Village and Thunderbluff Undead – Tirisfal: Start at Sollidens Farm and head North to the mills. Then go south to Stillwater Lake and back to the Farm. Dwarfs – Dun Morogh: Circle around Kharanos until you reach Brewnall in the zones West Night Elfs – Teldrassil: Circle around Dolanaar Humans – Elwynn Forest: Just do full circuits around the whole area (except Northshire) You will find Peacebloom and Silverleaf easily in every starting zone. The first 50 Skill points should take no time at all. Visit your trainer after you reached Skill 50 to learn the next rank!
50 – 70	Erdwurzel 15 40 65 115 and Maguskönigskraut 50 75 100 150 Barrens: Head West starting in Crossroads until you reach Stonetalon Mountains. Cross the Harpy Area and head back to East, back on the Golden Road und South again, heading back to Crossroads. Alliance players can farm on Westfalls shore until they reach the Deaminds, then up to Sentinel Hill and back to the shore. Gol’Bolar is a great alternative in Dun Morogh. Darkshore: Just run big circles around the whole zone.
70 – 100	Wilddornrose 70 95 120 170 Barrens: Same Route like from 50-70. If you want to, you can extend your route around the whole zone. Silverpine Forest: The southern part of the zone is useful to farm Briarthorn. Alliance players can stay in Westfall or take a turn in Duskwood. Full circuits from North to South in Darkshore are also viable. Loch Modan’s East is a great spot for Briarthorn. Also, around the lake in Redridge Mountains.
100 – 115	Beulengras 100 125 150 200 Ashenvale: Full circles around Mystral Lake or go West of Astranaar. Barrens: The Field of Giants or the area between the two Razorfen dungeons. Loch Modan: Farm right beside the eastern shore. Redridge Mountains: Circle around Stonewatch Keep.
116 – 125	Wildstahlblume 115 140 165 215 Arathi Highlands: Full circles around the zone (head towards mountains). Stranglethorn Vale: Around the Nek’mani or Zuuldaia Ruinen, north of Grom’gol. Barrens: The Field of Giants or the area between the two Razorfen dungeons. Thousand Needles Wetlands Visit your trainer after you reached Skill 125 to learn the next rank!
125 – 160	Königsblut 125 150 175 225 Ashenvale: Full circles around the zone. Stonetalon Mountains: Full circles around the zone. Wetlands: Full circles around the zone. Hillsbrad Foothills: Full circles around the zone.
160 – 185	Blassblatt 160 185 210 260 For Dreamfoil, the best area is Swamp of Sorrows. Just go fully around the area.
185 – 205	Khadgar’s Schnurrbart 185 210 235 285 Hinterlands: Full circles around the zone. Arathi Highlands: Run or ride circles around the ogre and troll villages. Swamp of Sorrows: Full circles around the zone.
205 – 230	Feuerblüte 205 230 255 305 Searing Gorge: Do full circles around the zone. Blasted Lands: Do full circles around the zone. Tanaris also has a lot of Firebloom, but it’s a big zone compared to the other ones. Visit your trainer after you reached Skill 200 to learn the next rank!
230 – 250	Sonnengras 230 255 280 Hinterlands: Get some distance to the main road and follow her through the zone, first on the upper half of the zone and on the way back below the road. Felwood: Zig-Zag through the Felwood and do full circles. Feralas: There are two routes in this zone: First of all only the north of the zone and second a route including Feralas’ south (if you have a lot of time!).
250 – 270	Gromsblut 250 275 300 Felwood: Zig-Zag through the Felwood and do full circles. Desolace: Run circles around Mannoroc Cove. Blasted Lands: Just run full circles around the area.
270 – 285	Traumblatt 270 295 Un’goro Krater: Just run full circles Azshara: Not really a route here.
285 – 300	Pestblüte 285 310 or Eiskappe 290 315 With Skill 285 you can farm Plaguebloom in the Eastern and Western Plaguelands and in the Felwood. Icecaps can be found all around Winterspring.

General Information

Skinning is one of three Gathering Professions in World of Warcraft.
Kill beasts, dragons, dragonkins and insects – you can skin all of them!

Raw Leather is used by the Leatherworking profession.
It is recommended to use Leatherworking as your second profession.

This guide is all about Cooking in World of Warcraft Classic.

General Information

Cooking is one of three secondary professions in World of Warcraft.
With cooking you create food that has benefits when eaten (Buff-Food).
Cooks need meat, thats looted from beasts or fish, that can be gatheres with the Fishing Profession. A lot of other stuff like spices are sold by NPCs near cooking trainers.
You can cook Buff-Food for yourself or to sell it on the auction house.

1 – 50	Right at the start you can choose whatever materials you have in store: 55 x Verkohltes Wolfsfleisch (55x Sehniges Wolfsfleisch) or 55 x Geröstetes Eberfleisch (55x Brocken Eberfleisch) Alternatives: Kaldorei-Spinnenkebab (if you own Kleines Spinnenbein). You will receive Rezept: Kaldorei-Spinnenkebab after finishing Recipe of the Kaldorei. You get it from Zarrin in Teldrassil. (Alliance only!) Knuspriger Fledermausflügel (if you have spare Fleischiger Fledermausflügel). You can buy Rezept: Knuspriger Fledermausflügel from Abigail Shiel in Tirisfal (Horde only!) Skorpid Surprise (if you have spare Skorpidstachel). You can buy Rezept: Skorpid Surprise from Grimtak in Durotar (Horde only!) Visit your trainer after you reached Skill 50 to learn the next rank!
50 – 80	40 x Geräuchertes Bärenfleisch (40 Bärenfleisch) You get the recipe from Drac Roughcut in Thelsamar (Loch Modan) or Andrew Hilbert in Silverpine Forest. You also can cook Gewürztes Wolfsfleisch until Skill 70, if there is cheap Sehniges Wolfsfleisch at the auction house.
80 – 130	Visit your trainer and learn Gekochte Muscheln, then go to Darkshore or Ashenvale to Zoram Beach and farm Verkrusteter Gezeitenkriecher and other Sea Creatures. First, cook 30 Gekochte Muscheln, the recipe turns green at 110 – after that, you cook Crab Cake until 130. Gekochte Muscheln (1x Muschelfleisch, 1x Erfrischendes Quellwasser) Krebsküchlein (1x Kriecherfleisch) You can find Muschelfleisch if you open Kleine rankenfüßige Muschel. The Erfrischendes Quellwasser is sold by most Innkeepers. Alliance players should buy Rezept: Gekochte Krebsschere from Kendor Kabonka in Stormwind, because when farming the Meat above there will drop a lot of Kriecherklaue. You can buy Rezept: Seltsam schmeckendes Omelett aswell. With Skill 125 you can get the next rank! To become an Expert in Cooking, you need to be Level 20 and have Skill 125. Then you can buy Expertenkochbuch from Shandrina in Ashenvale or Wulan in Desolace.
130 – 175	50 x Seltsam schmeckendes Omelett (50x Raptorei) The recipe is sold by Kendor Kabonka in Stormwind and Keena in Arathi Highlands. Horde players can get Rezept: Scharfe Löwenkoteletts from Zargh in the Barrens (Crossroads), if you have Löwenfleisch.
175 – 225	50 x Gerösteter Raptor (50x Raptorfleisch) Rezept: Gerösteter Raptor is sold byHammon Karwn and Keena (Arathi Highlands) If you have Schildkrötenfleisch in your bags, you can cook Milde Schildkrötensuppe. To get the recipe, you have to finish the quest Turtle Bisque. The quest starts at Küchenchef Jessen or Christoph Jeffcoat in Hillsbrad Foothills.
225	Time to become an Artisan with finishing a quest! You have to finish the quest Clamlette Surprise, which you only get with level 35+ and Skill 225. To finish it, you need the following materials and we recomment to get them before you travel to Gadgetzan: 12 x Riesenei 10 x Scharfes Muschelfleisch 20 x Alteraclochkäse Alliance players start the quest with I Know A Guy… from Daryl Riknussun in Ironforge. Horde players start the quest with To Gadgetzan You Go! from Zamja in Orgrimmar. Both quests lead to Dirge Quikcleave in Gadgetzan. Hand him over the materials and he trains you Cooking (Artisan).
225 – 275	65 x Monsteromelett (65x Riesenei) or 65 x Tender Wolf Steak (65x Tender Wolf Meat) Rezept: Monsteromelett is sold by Himmik in Winterspring (Everlook at the Inn). Rezept: Zartes Wolfsteak is sold by Dirge Quikcleave in Tanaris.
275 – 300	15 x Geräucherte Wüstenknödel (15x Sandworm Meat) For this recipe, you have to finish two quests in Silithus: Wüstenrezept Geteiltes Wissen Sandwurmfleisch is dropped by Baggerschläger and Baggerbrecher in Silithus.

Leveling Classic-Fishing: (1-300)

1 – 50	Buy some Shiny Baubles and fish in rivers in Durotar or Elwynn Forest. Visit your trainer after you reached Skill 50 to learn the next rank!
50 – 100	Until you reach Skill 75, you need Shiny Baubles. Fish for Floating Debris or Floating Wreckage near the pier in Ratchet (Barrens). The chests can contain low level materials.
100 – 175	Horde: Go to the Hinterlands and finish the Quest Snapjaws Mon to get a Fishing Pole that grants +25 on Fishing. Then get some Aquadynamischer Fischanlocker (Engineers can craft them, Fishing Vendors sometimes have them in limited supply) and fish on the Cap of Stranglethorn. Down the coast line there are schools of Steinschuppenaal you can empty and sell those fish. You can also find Wreckages there.
