Most important new features
- Many engineering devices are now more powerful, but also more difficult to control. Misfires can be catastrophic! However, a higher skill in engineering reduces the chance of backfires.
- Engineering glasses have fantastic values, look super-fancy and grant +20 Engineering Skill.
- As in other expansions, Shadowlands has a mechanical auction house that can only be used by engineers. The Photonic Gearhaggle can be found near the Engineering Trainer in the Hall of Shapes in Oribos.

Shopping List
The following list of materials is only a rough guide to get an overview of the quantitative dimensions of reagents needed to skill at maximum level! Depending on your luck or bad luck with the yellow/green recipes you might need more or less materials.
A shopping list for engineering is much more complex than for any other profession, partly because the variances can be very high. Therefore, there are specifications for the best case (2-3 parts per production always result in 3 parts), for the worst case (2-3 parts per craft always result in 2) and a corresponding average value.
TOTALLY the following demand results:
- ca. 655 Porous Stone (average value)
- ca. 450 Laestrite Ore (average value)
- 34-36 Oriblase or 18 Oriblase and 18 Angerseye (depending on the selection of Skill 76-92)
- 50 Machinist’s Oil (from a Vendor)
In addition, depending on your choice in the guide (from 92-100), the following reagents are required:
for Cloth Goggles: 60-80 Shrouded Cloth, 12-16 Umbryl
for Leather Goggles: 60-80 Desolate Leather, 6-8 Oriblase, 6-8 Umbryl
