Most important new features

  • There are two new alchemy reagents:
    Extracts – ground herb that alchemists can process
    Oils – applied to weapons to obtain temporary buffs and strengthen combat potions
  • There are only two flasks left, one to increase the primary stat and one for stamina.
  • Combat potions share a 5 minute cool down with all other potions, except healing potions.
    The limit of one potion per boss has been removed.

Shadowlands Alchemy Trainer

Shadowlands Alchemy can be learned with a Level 50 character or higher from the following teacher in Oribos:

  • WoW Allianz WoW Horde Elixirist Au’pyr – Oribos, Hall of Shapes (39.2, 40.4)
    If you can’t find your teacher, you can always ask a city guard at any given time.

Oils

Oils can be applied to weapons, last for an hour, have unique effects and can be combined with combat potions. However, they cannot be used together with Sharpening Stones or Weightstones.

Transmutations

As with Legion and Battle for Azeroth, you can transmute reagents. These are usually tied to a 24-hour cool-down.

  • Shadestone, crafted by Shadestone (170) – used by Alchemists
    Reagents: 5 Ground Widowbloom, 2 Ground Vigil’s Torch, 2 Ground Widowbloom, 2 Ground Marrowroot, 2 Ground Rising Glory
  • Schattenschreckbarren, crafted by Schattenschreckbarren (165) – creates 2 Bars – used by Blacksmiths
    Reagents: 10 Ground Widowbloom, 2 Ground Nightshade

Potions

All potions of the Shadowlands require level 51 and have (mostly) a 5 minute cooldown.
