This guide is about Lost Sole in the Shadowlands. Not the farm guide you wanted? Take a look HERE.
In this farm guide you will learn the best and most efficient spots to farm Lost Sole.
Basically you can find the fish in the Shadow Lands with the right bait in any water – provided of course that you are in the right zone where the fish are. Lost sole and Elysian Thade can be fished in each zone, the other four fish species are assigned to their respective area and cannot be found in other zones even with bait.
Since fishing is a very clear matter, especially with the lures mentioned, there is no reason to recommend particularly good fishing spots. Just choose the type of fish, the area and find a nice and quiet place to fish. Nevertheless, there is a map below with collected data from wowhead, where you should be able to see the agglomerations for fishing and orientate yourself a bit.
The baits are available for all types of fish, they are sold by Distributor Au’nagl for small money in Oribos:
- Lost Sole Bait (all zones)
- Silvergill Pike Bait (Bastion)
- Pocked Bonefish Bait (Maldraxxus)
- Iridescent Amberjack Bait (Ardenweald)
- Spinefin Piranha Bait (Revendreth)
- Elysian Thade Bait (all zones)
With Die Mittlerangel there is a new rod in Shadowlands, which is also sold by Distributor Au’nagl in Oribos. It grants you +15 fishing skill and increases the chance of finding bait.

Just like the Elysian Thade, Lost Sole is an exception. It can be fished in any area. The chance of course increases with the appropriate bait. Rumor has it that the Elysian Thade is easier to farm in dark (Revendreth) and green (Maldraxxus) waters than in the cleaner waters such as those found in Bastion.
