Cooking-Burning Crusade Classic

In this World of Warcraft guide everything revolves around Burning Crusade Classic Cooking and how to level it.

This guide is based on the state of the closed beta.
Changes are still possible at any time.

Outland Cooking Trainer

There are no particular cooking trainers in Outland.
You need to purchase a Master Cookbook in order to learn the next tier of recipes from the following vendors:

  • WoW Allianz Gaston – Honor Hold, Hellfire Peninsula [54.0, 63.6]
  • WoW Horde Baxter – Thrallmar, Hellfire Peninsula [57, 37]
  • WoW AllianzWoW Horde Naka – Cenarion Refuge, Zangarmarsh [78.5, 63.0]

At this point, you can also buy Recipe: Ravager Dog, sold by WoW Allianz Sid Limbardi in Honor Hold and WoW Horde Cookie One-Eye in Thrallmar.

Cooking: 1-300

If you are not at 300 yet, take a look at our Classic Cooking Guide.

Cooking: 300-375

noted Shopping List

The following list of materials is only a rough guide to get an overview of the quantitative dimensions of reagents needed to skill at maximum level! Depending on your luck or bad luck with the yellow/green recipes you might need more or less materials.

TSM Shopping List

If you have TSM installed you can use the code below to load the shopping list materials into your shopping list.
If you don’t know how to do that, take a look at the following clip:

Skillguide

300-325

30x Ravager Dog – 30 Ravager Flesh

The recipe is yellow from 320, so skill points are then no longer guaranteed and you may need to make the recipe more times, requiring more materials than specified.

For the next step you can choose Recipe: Roasted Clefthoof or Recipe: Warp Burger.
Recipes are sold by WoW Allianz Uriku – Telaar, Nagrand and WoW Horde Nula the Butcher – Garadar, Nagrand.

325-350

30x Roasted Clefthoof –  30 Clefthoof Meat
or
30x Warp Burger – 30 Warped Flesh

The recipe is yellow from 345, so skill points are then no longer guaranteed and you may need to make the recipe more times, requiring more materials than specified.

For the next step, there are three options: Spicy CrawdadCrunchy Serpent, and Mok’Nathal Shortribs.

Spicy Crawdad is the best option, you need skill level 350 and it will guarantee skill points.
Recipe: Spicy Crawdad is sold by WoW Allianz Innkeeper Biribi (Allerian Stronghold, Terokkar Forest) and WoW Horde Rungor (Stonebreaker Hold, Terokkar Forest). But since Furious Crawdad has an extremely low catch rate and farming it is time intensive (and therefore usually expensive on the auction house).

Crunchy Serpent and Mok’Nathal Shortribs are viable options aswell. The recipes are sold by WoW AllianzWoW Horde Xerintha Ravenoak (Evergrove, Blade’s Edge Mountains). But they turn green at 365, so you may have to cook 40+ of them to hit 375.

Cooking Dailies

There are now 4 Cooking daily quests you can pick up from The Rokk in Shattrath. You need to be Level 70 and have a Cooking Skill of at least 275. The quest rewards you a Crate of Meat or a Barrel of Fish. These crates contain BC cooking reagents and also have a small chance to contain one of these rare recipes:

Crate of Meat

Barrel of Fish

Diese Quest ist zu erledigen! These are the daily quests:

Buff Food

Kylene – Fisherman’s Feast Recipe Trainer (P3)

It has come to our attention that Kylene is probably not willing to teach a player anything at all until phase 3 of Burning Crusade Classic (Black Temple). So now in phase 1, ignore this part:

Once your Cooking Skill reaches 375, find Kylene at the World’s End Tavern in Lower City, Shattrath. She will teach you three recipes (most and foremost the Fisherman’s Feast and Hot Buttered Trout).
Both require a Cooking skill of 350 to cook.
